NOTICE: Migration from Ning to Basecamp collaboration environment

The Pistoia Alliance is migrating its community from various disparate collaboration sites (using Ning, GoogleDocs, etc.) into a single collaboration site (Basecamp) for internal use.

Artifacts from this Ning site will be migrated to the Pistoia Alliance Basecamp site during the coming weekend (27-28 March 2010). After the migration, this Ning site will still be available, but will become static (ie no new Discussions, Blogs, Events, Members, etc. will be added). Please note that most artifacts have been moved, but a few still remain (within the displayed groups). The remaining artifacts will be moved asap.

Pistoia community and growing members

Pistoia has entered the new year with a number of new member companies since new year (EMBL-EBI, GenomeQuest, IO-Informatics, Sciencepoint Solutions) plus a growing use of this collaboration environment.

Please keep the suggestions for working groups and comments on current topics and priorities. We are also planning some wider communications to members so please send suggestions to Ramesh, our Communications officer.

New members of Pistoia

Over the last few weeks we have had several new organisations join: Merck, Royal Society of Chemistry, Collaborative Drug Discovery and Thomson Reuters.
We welcome them to Pistoia and their contributions to existing and new working groups/domains.

Since we already have a blog, figured I'd just make folks aware of it (let me know what you think about it), since they can read more here: http://collaborativedrug.com/blog/

We blogged on Pistoia and pointed folks to the sourceforge site earlier: http://collaborativedrug.com/blog/blog/2009/05/15/pistoia/

100 members of Pistoia Community and counting

We passed the 100 mark of members of this community.
With a growing core group we are looking at ways of developing this community, both the informal aspects of sharing ideas but also how to work more together within the working groups.
If you have suggestions on this get in contact with one of the officers. We also now have a communications officer, Ramesh from BMS.
